Chinese Export Lacquered Bureau Circa 1710-20. A hinged rectangular slanted front opens to an interior fitted with small drawers and pigeon holes, above a case with two short drawers and two long drawers, raised on bun feet. The bureau is lacquered black throughout and gilt-decorated with Chinese landscapes, foliage and insects; with red lacquer highlights. Width 35 in.; depth 20 1/2 in.; height 39 in. Open depth 34 in.
